بدأت شركة إيفرجرين لنقل الحاويات بإستخدام محطة عدن للحاويات لتفريغ و إعادة شحن حاويات الترانزيت، حيث رست يوم 9 نوفمبر 2014م سفينة الحاويات العملاقة إيفر لوجيك لتفريغ حاويات الترانزيت للموانئ المجاورة و تعتبر بداية لعودة نشاط حاويات الترانزيت إلى ميناء عدن بعد إنقطاع أستمر زهاء الخمس سنوات و إنجازاً مهماً لشركة عدن لتطوير الموانئ و تأكيد على ثقة الشركات العالمية لنقل الحاويات بقدرات وكفائة كوادر و عمال محطة عدن للحاويات التابعة لشركة عدن لتطوير الموانئ التي نجحت قيادتها في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز كمحصلة لعملية تواصل مكثفة تمت مع شركة إيفرجرين و غيرها من الشركات الناقلة للحاويات التي أبدت رغبتها مبدئيا في إستخدام ميناء عدن لتداول حاويات الترانزيت، و علية فمن المتوقع تزايد نشاط الترانزيت مع دخول شركات ناقلة أخرى.
وقد كان في إستقبال السفينة القبطان عبدالله إبراهيم أبكر رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة عدن لتطوير الموانئ و المهندس محمد عبد الواسع مدير عام الشركة و عدد من كوادرها القيادية.
وفي تصريح للقبطان عبد الله إبراهيم أبكر النجري أشار إلى عودة نشاط حاويات الترانزيت إلى ميناء عدن يعتبر تأكيداً عملياً على ثقة الشركات الملاحية الناقلة بقدرات و إمكانيات ميناء عدن و أن شركة عدن لتطوير الموانئ مستمرة في التواصل مع عدد من الشركات التي أبدت من حيث المبدأ رغبة في إستخدام ميناء عدن لمناولة حاويات الترانزيت ، و الذي بدوره سيؤدي الى زيادة النشاط بشكل تدريجي و في نفس السياق أكد القبطان عبد الله إبراهيم النجري على أن تنفيذ مشروع التوسعة و التعميق الذي تم التوقيع على إتفاقية تنفيذه بين مؤسسة مؤانئ خليج عدن و الشركة الصينية يعتبر شرطاً أساسياً و ذو أهمية إستراتيجية قصوى لكي ينتقل ميناء عدن ليصبح مركزا رئيسيا مهما لنشاط حاويات الترانزيت على مستوى منطقة البحر الأحمر وبحر العرب وشرق أفريقيا و سوف ينتقل ميناء عدن بعد تنفيذ هذا المشروع الإستراتيجي الهام إلى مصاف الموانئ العالمية من حيث الإمكانيات والقدرات وسيتمكن من إستقبال كبريات السفن الناقلة للحاويات على مستوى العالم.

Evergreen shipping line has begun using Port of Aden for its transshipment containers of the nearby Ports in the region through the arrival of Evergreen giant container ship EVER LOGIC on the 9 November 2014.
This event is the commencement of the return of the transshipment containers business to the Port of Aden after Interruption of around five years, it is important achievement of Aden Ports Development Company (APDC) and confirmation of the port users from the major shipping lines showing their confidence on Aden Container Terminal (ACT) workers capability and competency , under the Management of APDC which succeeded in achieving this feat as a result of intensive communication with Evergreen and other shipping lines who have shown their interest in principle to use Port of Aden for handling transshipment containers, which predict the increase in transshipment business by joining other carriers.
APDC Chairman Captain Abdulla Ibrahim Abkar has welcomed Evergreen container ship a company with Engineer Mohammed Abdulwasa - ACT General Manager and other company Management.
In a press declaration Captain Abdulla Ibrahim Abkar Al- negri has mentioned that the return of transshipment business to the Port of Aden is a physical confirmation of the carriers from the shipping lines confidence on the Port capability and competency, and the APDC is continually communicating with carriers from shipping lines who have shown their principle interest in using the Port of Aden for handling their transshipment containers, which will lead to gradual increase of the transshipment activity and in the same context, Captain Abdulla Ibrahim Al- negri has stressed that the implementation of the Port expansion and deepening project which was signed its execution agreement between Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation and The Chinese company is a prerequisite and has strategic importance to develop the Port to be main hub for the transshipment business of the Red Sea , Arabian Sea and East Africa, however after the implementation of the expansion project, the port will move up to the international standards in its ability and capability and will enable receiving the worldwide ultra heavy and giant container ships.
